SongSqueeze Privacy Policy

This is a plain-language privacy policy for the SongSqueeze app and website (songsqueeze.com).

The short version

SongSqueeze plays music that fits your moment. To do that it needs to know your approximate location, the time, and the weather. We use that to pick music. We do not sell your data and we do not track you across other apps or websites.

What we use and why

• Approximate location: to detect your city and pull local weather so we can match music to where and when you are. You can also pick a city manually.
• Weather and time: derived from your location to set the mood and context.
• Listening activity (in the app): the tracks and vibes in your current session, used to tune recommendations and to power features like Live Pulse, streaks, and your weekly recap. Pulse data is anonymous and short-lived.
• Apple Music: playback is handled by Apple Music. Your Apple Music account and library are governed by Apple's privacy policy. We do not receive your Apple ID or password.
• Notifications (optional): if you enable them, we store a push token to send your daily signal. You can turn this off anytime in iOS Settings.
• Purchases: the Pro subscription is processed by Apple. We use RevenueCat to manage entitlements. We never see your card details.

What we do NOT do

• We do not sell your personal data.
• We do not use your data for third-party advertising or cross-app tracking.
• We do not store your precise location history.

Data retention

Live Pulse and session data are ephemeral (minutes to hours). Push tokens are kept while you have notifications enabled.

Your choices

• Revoke location or notifications anytime in iOS Settings.
• Cancel Pro anytime via your Apple subscription settings.
• Contact us to ask what we hold or to request deletion.

Children

SongSqueeze is not directed at children under 13.
